SCHEME UNDER SECTION 2(1) (DEFINITION OF “APPROVED SCHEME”)

The schemes and funds specified in the first column hereunder declared to be approved schemes, with effect from the respective dates specified in the second column hereunder:

All persons appointed on or after the 1st October, 1963, under a written agreement expressed to continue for a specified period or periods. Note.—Where a pension computed on the pension tables in force before the commencement of the Widows’ and Orphans’ Pensions (Amendment) Act, 1964, is found to be greater than the amount payable when the new tables introduced by that Act are applied, the new tables introduced by that Act shall only be applied for the purpose of computing variations in the rate of pension occurring after such commencement.
